Our new member is an Australian family business working with freight companies to electrify and decarbonize their transport systems.

Although they were a multimillion dollar company with international scale, they only required small quantities of steel and aluminium for prototyping and R&D.  They had no established supply relationships and were concerned that they were paying too much for “off the street” prices.

Fulcrum took their core steel and aluminium requirements and went to a range of suppliers to get quotes based on our existing buying group volumes.

Out quote came back 35 – 40% cheaper than they were paying.  They were impressed that even for small and irregular orders, they received pricing that was usually only available for much larger quantities.
